About the Author - The Coming of the Slayer is the first book to see print as a book from Leicestershire author Paul Trotter.
First published in March 2006 the first print quickly sold out leading to a second print in November 2006.
Sales of the book are moving quickly, as are those of the second book, Wizards and Kings, which saw publication in April 2007 as readers pick up on this fantastic adventure story.
The Mystic Queen is a series of six books set in a fantasy world of magic, dragons and sword fighting. The lead character is a beautiful young lady, Jacquelyne Van Dyne, called Jaq by her friends and Dark Slayer by many others. She is mysteriously transported from her world of the late twentieth century to the world of magic. Blessed with beauty and intelligence she is thrown into fast flowing adventure after adventure as she searches for answers. Yet this story is not just a fantasy romp of swords and sorcery as a subtle tale of intrigue runs throughout and the touches of real life make the stories almost believable.
Paul Trotter is married with two teenage children living in the quiet Leicestershire countryside. By day he is a solicitor but by night he becomes the writer of fantasy world adventures that are gripping more readers by the day. He can frequently be found on the comic trade circuit at the aptly named Dark Slayer’s Collectors Comics stall.
